DT Salutes Spirit of Women Power in ICT Industry on This Woman’s Day

Equal opportunities are always there when it comes to hire in IT at any position. But we see very less representation of women power in technology industry. Like most sectors, IT is also predominantly dominated by males. But in recent years, we have seen better growth in appointing Indian women in tech Industry at very key positions who are doing all sorts of things which men can do. They are competing at all levels and have manifested their intelligence and leadership qualities. On the occasion of Women’s Day, DT has compiled the list of ‘Top 12 Tech Women Power’ who are contributing very well for the growth of overall ICT industry.

Vanitha Narayanan

Managing Director, IBM India Pvt. Ltd. 

Vanitha Narayanan is the Managing Director of IBM India Private Limited, and the Regional General Manager for India/ South Asia (ISA). Appointed to this leadership position in January 2013, she is responsible for all of IBM's sales, marketing, services and global delivery operations in the India/South Asia region, including operations in Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. India remains one of the fastest growing countries for IBM and has emerged as a strategic location within the company's global services delivery network. 

Rekha M. Menon

Chairman and Sr. Managing Director, Accenture India 

Rekha M. Menon is the Chairman and Senior Managing Director at Accenture in India. In this role, she is responsible for building Accenture's business, strengthening Accenture’s position and enhancing the profile of Accenture in India. She oversees the integration of Accenture’s overall growth strategy with our long-term vision for the country. Some of her external positions include – Nasscom’s National Executive Council, American Chamber of Commerce in India’s (Amcham) National Executive Board. 

Nivruti Rai

Country Head and Vice President of Data Centre Group, Intel India


Nivruti Rai is Country Head and Vice President of Data Centre Group at Intel India. She is a global leader with 20+ years of technical and business leadership experience in the US and India. Nivruti Rai is responsible for leading Intel India operations across R&D Execution, Innovation, Business Enablement and driving Strategic Ecosystem Engagements with government, academia and industry bodies for driving Intel India’s growth strategy.  

Aruna Jayanthi

Chief Executive Officer of Business Services, Capgemini Group 

Aruna Jayanthi is the Chief Executive Officer of Business Services of Capgemini Group. Earlier, she was the CEO for Capgemini India from January 2011 till Jan 2016, and the Chairperson of Board of Governors of National Institute of Technology Calicut since November 2014. As the CEO for Capgemini India earlier, Jayanthi used to oversees the operations across India and supports the Capgemini Group's growth agenda and strengthen India's position as an industrialization and innovation hub.  

Roshni Nadar Malhotra

Executive Director & CEO, HCL Corporation 

Roshni Nadar Malhotra is the CEO and Executive Director of HCL Corporation. She is responsible for providing strategic guidance to the organization. Roshni is also the Vice Chairperson on the Board of HCL Technologies and the Chairperson of its CSR Committee. Roshni is a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, a unique and diverse community of the world’s most outstanding, next-generation leaders. 

Inderpreet Sawhney

Group General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, Infosys 

Inderpreet is the Group General Counsel & the Chief Compliance Officer of Infosys. In this role she leads the legal and compliance function of the Company. She is a tactical business partner supporting the business in legal and regulatory matters. She is also responsible for directing the development and execution of the compliance and ethics program of the Company. Inderpreet has a BA (Hons.) and LL.B degree from Delhi University and an LL.M from Queen's University, Kingston, Canada. 

Daisy Chittilapilly

Managing Director, Digital Transformation Office, Cisco India and SAARC 

Daisy Chittilapilly leads the Digital Transformation Office for Cisco India and SAARC. In her current role, Daisy drives Cisco’s digital transformation agenda, aligning Cisco’s offerings and ecosystems to emerging opportunities in Digital, and leads the charge in digitally enabling organizations across sectors and industries in India. In her previous role, Daisy led the Cisco India and SAARC partner organization to incredible success by building new ecosystems and programs. 

Debjani Ghosh

President, NASSCOM 

Debjani Ghosh is the 5th President of The National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM). A veteran of the technology industry, and a stanch champion of gender diversity in corporate India, Debjani was the first woman to lead Intel India, Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT), and now NASSCOM. In January 2018, she was felicitated by the President of India under the auspices of the “First Ladies” program, which honours exceptional female pioneers in their fields. Debjani holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Osmania University in Hyderabad, and an MBA in marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research in Mumbai. 

Ritu Gupta

Director - Marketing, Consumer & Small Business, Dell India 

Ritu Gupta leads the brand marketing team for consumer and small business for Dell India. She is responsible for developing the overall brand strategy for Dell in India. In addition to her responsibility for driving the overall channel strategy for Dell CSB segment. She is also responsible for Dell’s social media strategy in India. She has been with Dell since 2011 and is also a member of Dell WISE (Women in search of excellence) program for Dell women team members. A marketing professional with over 20 years of experience across industries like – Consumer Research, Durables, FMCG & Finance Services, she has worked extensively in Delhi & Mumbai. 

Suchita Vishnoi

Senior Director, Marketing (APAC), Cognizant Digital Business

Suchita has over 18 years of record achievement targeting niche B2B audiences for IT products & services using conventional & new age marketing tools & media. She is an experienced & dynamic marketing professional, with a passion for technology, exceptional communication skills & understands the benefits of running integrated marketing campaigns to move customers through the buyer’s journey. She has a deep understanding of the IT ecosystem & complex enterprise purchase decision-making process. 

Nidhi Sardana Markanday

Director, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. 

Ms Nidhi Markanday serves as Director at Intex Technologies India Ltd. She joined Intex India in January 2001 and has given over 18 years to the company. She served Intex being on various posts in this long journey. She has a vast experience in this ICT industry and has very deep understanding of the IT ecosystem. 

Arati Naik

Chief Operating Officer, Digisol Systems Ltd. 

Ms Arati Naik is the Chief Operating Officer at Digisol Systems Ltd. and she has been working at here since 2009. Arati Naik was Chief Marketing Officer from 2009 to 2014 and then appointed as Chief Operating Officer in August 2014. She holds vital experience in the Indian IT industry. Prior to Digisol, she was Project Consultant-Marketing at D-Link India Ltd.
