Dell Felicitates Its Indian Campassadors

Dell India felicitated it’s top ‘Campassadors’ from around the country, in the final leg of its youth influencer program. Dell Campassadors has been Dell’s first, year-long pan India college engagement program aimed at spreading technology and PC knowledge among the college going youth. The appointed Campassadors represent Dell on their college campuses, and engage with their peers to showcase the value of personal technology for personal and professional growth. The program is designed to create deeper commitments with the youth through the appointment of college campus ambassadors in over 50 colleges that specialise in engineering, management, science and humanities across 9 cities.

20 Campassadors from across India were present at the Dell campus in Bengaluru for the felicitation ceremony and were provided a platform to share the best moments of their experience as a Dell Campassador, while also gathering insights from their counterparts.

Commenting on the fruitful first year of Dell Campassadors, Ritu Gupta, Director, Marketing, Consumer and Small Business, Dell India said, “We extend our congratulations to the Top Campassadors in the country, for seeing each activity through until the end, and for using their voices to connect and collaborate with their peers, using technology. The program saw Campassadors executing creative offline and online activities for their peers, focusing on the scope for technology to transform everyday life. This not only enhanced their personal development process, but also gave Dell the opportunity to engage with students and have unique conversations. India’s youth are very dynamic and open to adopting technology. Based on studies we have done, we see that while youth from Tier 1 markets are using technology to be socially connected to their peers, those in Tier 2 – Tier 4 markets are incorporating the PC into their education process.

Our Campassadors are on the cusp of starting their careers and through this year-long annual program we wanted to provide a meaningful platform that will create valuable experiences. It has been extremely gratifying to see the highly positive response among youth on this program, and has peaked their interest in what technology can offer them.”

The year-long Dell Campassadors program saw participation from over 82 individuals from around 43 colleges in the country. A combination of on-ground activities and social media platforms was leveraged to increase the outreach of the program among youth.
