Dell Aarambh Partners Centa to Empower Teachers

Dell in India announced its partnership with Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA), expanding the reach of Dell Aarambh – a pan India, PC for education initiative – to CENTA’s growing community of 15,000 teachers in over 500+schools.

The collaboration is a step forward towards empowering more teachers with career opportunities, professional development and technology, in addition to the 70,000 teachers Dell has engaged with, as part of the program. 

As the nation undergoes rapid digitalization, Dell is focused on equipping educators with the tools required to grow and succeed as digital citizens and to further equip students in securing their footing in Digital India. Having conducted digital literacy trainings for the effective use of a personal computer in teaching with 70,000 teachers in 4,000 schools across 79 tier 2- tier 4 cities in the country, Dell Aarambh’s partnership with CENTA is aimed at enabling teachers to upskill and uplift themselves in order to become digitally empowered future educators. 

Dell and CENTA together will focus on maximizing value for teachers who are being trained. The technology-enabled CENTA Certification will give them access to resources and mentorship for professional development and open up a range of opportunities such as placements, rewards and recognitions. Dell Aarambh will extend its digital literacy training to schools that CENTA is associated with, educating and exposing more number of students and teachers to the opportunities that a PC can create.

Through Dell Aarambh, Dell has been engaging with 3 key audiences - students, teachers and parents - in a series of activities meant to familiarize them with PC usage and utilization of computing skills in the education of a child. Asserting its determination with regards to enhancing PC penetration in the country, Dell has been focused on establishing that PC adoption can enable the nurturing of digital citizens who will serve as the future workforce for a rapidly digitalizing environment. 

In 2017, Dell Aarambh has been intensifying initiatives that are focused on building easier access and a deeper understanding of PC usage among teachers, students, and parents. The next stage of Dell Aarambh is a step forward in Dell’s vision to realize a nation constituting digital citizens, who are equipped to leverage their technology readiness to shape the future of a digital economy.  Partnering with CENTA will help Dell reach out to more teachers ensuring access to skills that will help them grow professionally, as they continue to play the role of a true influencer in lives of students – the next workforce of a Digital India.
