Cloudera Announces Winners of Inaugural Partner Impact Awards

Cloudera, Inc. announced the winners of its inaugural Partner Impact Awards, which consist of the Best Solution Awards and the Business Excellence Awards.

The Best Solution Awards celebrate partners who developed and implemented solutions which help Cloudera’s customers gain insights into their businesses. The Business Excellence Awards recognize partners who grew their revenue, pipeline and overall investment in driving joint business with Cloudera.

“In this new phase of Cloudera’s growth, partners are even more critical to the success of our customers.  We find it important to recognize and celebrate their innovation and their contribution to the successes of our customers. Cloudera’s ecosystem is large and fast growing, it includes tech giants and startups providing hundreds of solutions across multiple industries.” said Philippe Marinier, vice president of Business Development at Cloudera. “We want to thank all the applicants for their investment and their collaboration in delivering impactful solutions to customers.”

In order to demonstrate their solution’s success with customers, the Best Solution Awards nominees are also required to submit for the Data Impact Award. The Best Solution Awards winners were selected based on the solutions’ impact on customer business transformation and the Business Excellence Award winners were selected based on Cloudera business metrics.  The winners in each category were selected by a panel of Cloudera judges. Award winners were announced at Cloudera Partner Summit 2017 in NYC on September 26th.

The winners of the 2017 Best Solution Awards are:

Drive Customer Insights – PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)

PwC Customer Insights platform helps clients make data-driven decisions around customer acquisition, growth and retention by combining a comprehensive view of customer data, with PwC’s proprietary customer data model and its purpose-built analytics engine. This solution breaks down data silos to build a 360-degree view of customers for better marketing, improved loyalty and retention, and real-time, personalized recommendations.

Innovators in Machine Learning and AI – Trifacta

Trifacta is the recipient of this award for their data preparation solution which is critical in wrangling structured and unstructured data. Since analysts spend 80 percent of their time during data preparation phases, Trifacta’s offering dramatically improves their productivity. This enables them to focus on machine learning and artificial intelligence processes to extract unique business insights from their data.  

Lower Business Risks – Arcadia Data

Arcadia Data is winning this award for its Cybersecurity Visual Analytics solution that leverages Cloudera to prevent fraud, manage risks, enforce data security and to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Arcadia Data’s solution was natively built for big data systems and is a perfect complement to Cloudera’s platform. It provides pre-built dashboards and visual analytics for Cloudera’s own cybersecurity solution based on Apache Spot.

Improve Product and Services Efficiency – Deloitte

Deloitte’s Real World Evidence solution drives quantifiable results to organizations by applying data to improve operational efficiencies, to generate top-line growth and bottom-line savings and to increase customers’ competitive advantage. Deloitte is a globally recognized leader in analytics and it collaborates with Cloudera to help customers improve their product and services efficiencies and to extract actionable insights from their data.  

Modernize IT – StreamSets

StreamSets is winning for its Operation Platform featuring its Data Collector infrastructure.  This solution comprises agile technologies built with Cloudera to enable analytics of both old and new data. StreamSets specializes in data flow management that plays a critical role in real-time data ingest. StreamSets Data Collector is used to bring unprecedented visibility and control over data as it moves between an expanding variety of sources and destinations. This past year, StreamSets was key in enabling the connected car and Apache Spot usage models.

The winners of the Business Excellence Awards are:

Global Partner of the Year Award – Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

Tata Consultancy Services delivered tremendous growth as a key solutions integrator partner and has over 1,200 associates certified on Cloudera. With multiple solutions built and certified on Cloudera, and with Cloudera resources in eight of its delivery centers, TCS has proven to be the partner that has driven the most Cloudera wins in the past year.

Market Development Award – Oracle

Oracle is Cloudera's top performing hardware platform partner in customer growth and in product integrations. Cloudera’s Data Science Workbench is now certified on the Oracle Big Data Appliance. To develop in its market base, Oracle also announced two significant cloud offerings with Cloudera this past year: Oracle Big Data Cloud Service and Oracle Big Data Cloud Machine.

Invest to Win Award – CenturyLink

CenturyLink is a global communications, hosting, cloud and IT services company who partners with Cloudera to deliver big data-as-a-service capabilities to enable customers to gain value from their data.CenturyLink chose Cloudera as its exclusive Apache Hadoop Platform and it is continuously investing by certifying products on Cloudera and partnering in go to market initiatives.

Customer-centric Award – Informatica

Informatica continues to be a critical data integration and management partner for Cloudera. As many organizations continue to modernize their data architectures, Informatica plays an important role by ensuring customers are successfully building on Cloudera Enterprise’s offering. Informatica’s laser focus on successful customer implementations makes it an important Cloudera partner.

Innovator Award – Qlik

Qlik is recognized as the partner delivering the best integrated marketing and sales campaigns with Cloudera. Qlik increased its investment in Cloudera through joint campaigns and by innovating with industry specific solutions for the financial services and healthcare markets.

Rising Star Award – Datavard

Datavard joined the Cloudera ecosystem within the past year and is already delivering significant value on strengthening Cloudera’s customer base. With deep SAP expertise, Datavard provides a solution that integrates Cloudera Enterprise with SAP business application systems to analyze large volumes of SAP data in near real-time.

Latin America Partner of the Year Award – Semantix

Semantix, one of Cloudera's first Latin America Partners, has been integral to Cloudera's development and growth across the region. Semantix has a strong presence in Brazil and Columbia as a reseller and solution integrator. They have also invested in being a Cloudera Training Center offering courses in Chile and Argentina.

North America Partner of the Year Award – RCG Global Services

RCG Global Services’ investment in Cloudera certifications, account planning activities and pipeline generation have resulted in impactful Cloudera solution implementations for clients across healthcare, financial services, retail, energy and hospitality verticals last year alone.

North America Momentum Award – Microsoft

Microsoft’s partnership has resulted in the acceleration of the product level integration of Cloudera into Microsoft Azure Cloud and in the joint delivery of analytics and machine learning solutions for customers. This award is given for building sales enablement and joint-marketing campaigns to capture cloud-ready customers across North America.
