"Channel Partnership Should be More Profitable in Business"

The Indian market is growing well into all verticals. But few key government announcements are fueling the growth traction in years to come. As networking remains the key catalyst for any industry to grow, there are huge opportunities coming in for the vendors. The companies are bringing innovative wireless solution to help customer connect seamlessly with the internet. TP-Link, the leader in providing excellent wireless networking solution also eyes to tap the upcoming opportunity not in only networking, but also plans to add more product offerings to tap other verticals. Mr. Atul Jain, VP-Channel Sales, TP-Link India reveals his channel and company plans with DT.

Q.How do you see the overall performance of TP-Link in year 2015? What will be your plan for Year 2016?

A.Last year was very excellent for us as we are able to thrive our growth trend. We are continuously growing our market share with each passing day. Last year we focused on to boost our product offerings. We unveiled many high quality and innovative products at an affordable price point. We have very aggressive plan for year 2016. But as now we have a bigger product portfolio so will take 360 degree approach. We will offer right product and solutions to our customer as per their requirement. We are also committed to provide affordable solutions with excellent performance and best service support to Indian customers.

Q.What will be your upcoming channel plans?

A.We as per our plan focused on to build-up robust channelInfrastructure. We are having very strong channel base in the areas where we have been focusing in since our inception.We don’t go in any manner only to increase these numbers. We believe that our channel partnership should be more profitable in business and they should have anoverall good growth into that particular segment.We take care of partner’s profitability and margins. We provide all kind of support to them. To boost our penetration, now we are focusing on additional cities apart from metros and A class cities. We are focused on adding more man power and align our product, price and all the strategies in place for smooth execution of our set goal. We will be also educating these partners and insure that they are growing with us.

Q. How do you manage the growing product portfolio?

A. We all are well aware about the growing product portfolio of TP-Link. Now we have vast range of products to offer for customer. We are global leader in providing excellent wireless networking solutions. TP- Link gradually achieved excellent growth into consumer and SOHO segment because this is our first strength. Our expertise and ability to deliver right products and solutions helped us in gaining leadership position in the Indian market within this segment.We are now also tapping the vast opportunity emerging from Smaller Mediumbusiness vertical. We are closely working with partner to grow much more in this segment.We are also rolling outaccessories product Line that will cater to consumer, SOHO and offices as well. We are currently introducing Power Banks, Computer Accessories, and Mobile Accessories portfolios.So these accessories items will also fuel our further growthin year 2016.

Q.How do you see the growth of power bank market in India? What are your plans to tap this market?

A.Power is very important factor for anyone’s life. We all do arrangements for power backup in many ways like inverter, UPS and emergency lights. In big cities, we all get round the clock electricity but in smaller towns and rural village power is still a big concern. With boost in mobile devices uses, there are huge opportunities for any player in the market. Consumers are seamlessly stay connected to any of their device even when they are on the move. So power bank has become very well necessary component of our life. Smartphone users also buy power bank now a days. I believe as many Mobiles you will have, you would require same number of power bank in future. We are also eying this market as we have already launched few variant of Power Bankwith a capacity of 2600 mAH to10400 mAH. Our products are best available power bank in the market currently with excellent design and value for many products.

Q.How do you assure excellent service support to your customers?

A.Providing best service support is first priority we have as company policy. We are committed to provide excellent quick service for our customers. We are investing enough to scale up the service reach to all our customers. We already have our ownservice center in Mumbai and Delhi.We will be opening up the other Service Centers also. We also work with our partners to resolve any service related issues. Our Master Dealers also work as service provider in their respective regions. We provide them full training and support to sort out any service related issues.
