3rd Edition of ICT Reseller Channel Summit Concluded Successfully

The 2017 3rd edition of the ICT Reseller Channel Summit in New Delhi was successful due to the energetic participation of 300 Indian top executives.

The 3-day event, held Sept. 10-12, brought together leading resellers from the northern regions of India, and gave vendors from all over the world an opportunity to schedule over 700 one-on-one meetings with senior executives and channel partners. The delegate list included more than 200 leading resellers, executives from major vendors, influential speakers, and industry experts. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) brought 10 Taiwan Excellence Award Winners to the Taiwan Pavilion, which was sponsored by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. ADATA, Advantech, CyberPower, DLINK, Edimax, GIGABYTE, MSI, Plustek, QNAP, and Thermaltake. All participants found more opportunities in the potential Indian ICT market.

With hundreds of leading brands across multiple tech categories – from motherboards to memory, and servers to software – Taiwan’s ecosystem plays an incredibly important role in the ICT industry. At GATES Summit, these vendors will have the opportunity to come together with India’s top distributors, resellers and other channel partners through pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings. Established brands will support and grow their channel business at the event, while new-to-market vendors will be looking to establish new partnerships.

The extensive program of conferences, workshops, and panel discussions, creates an incredibly efficient business platform. In addition to pre-scheduled, one-on-one meetings and networking opportunities, the unique format hosts an informative conference with leading industry voices. Research Partners GFK, SPIRE, and NAVO will each speak at GATES Summit India 2017. The participants hailed the workshops as being extremely useful. The number of vendors and channel partners participating at Gates was encouraging and has been growing fast. The GATES conference, featuring SMARTPITCH, gives vendors a 90-second elevator pitch on their latest product, which is both informative and entertaining.. Awards are given in three categories – Best Innovation, Best Design and Best Presentation – with winners determined in real-time through live electronic voting.

A total of over forty different brands have received official nominations with ten listed in multiple award categories. HP received nominations in at least five separate categories highlighting their strong position in the ICT market. Some of the Taiwan Excellence vendors nominated in multiple categories include Acer, Asus, Dlink, and Edimax. The Indian ICT channels carried out voting across fifty cities during the ICT Excellence Awards, with DLINK emerging as the Gates - Best Home Network Device of the Year 2017.
